In this informal and relaxed workshop, you'll learn how to melt, mix and pour wax to create DIY luxury candles from scratch.
Your friendly teacher Kylie will guide you step-by-step throughout your journey and provide all the equipment and tools, so don't worry if it's your first attempt at candle making, you'll feel all of your worries melt away as you sit back and focus on getting creative with your group.

Workshop venue
This workshop is held at Southill Tea Room & Stores located in Southill, nestled in the quaint village setting of Bedfordshire, near Biggleswade.
Workshop is available for private hire.
We are currently catering for up to 15 people however, if you are a larger group i,e a hen party, birthday party or a corporate team, then please email us with your numbers prior to booking and we will do our best to help. If we are unable to secure seats on that particular date or venue we can talk through other options that are available.
Everything is set up and ready for when you arrive. At this friendly vintage tea room, we provide unlimited tea and coffee throughout the workshop with a very scrumptious Creme Brew Lait speciality afternoon tea served in vintage china.
Venue is mobility safe. Please let us know on your booking form if you require any further asistance. Feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss anything before your arrival.
There is parking in front of the tearooms on the village road.
On the day...
You will arrive at the start time of your class whether that is for the day time or the evening class. Please do not arrive early as we will be setting up and may not have alternative seating outside. Especially if the weather isn't good to us on that particular day. The workshop will start once we all get settled with a nice cuppa!
Aprons on and we then begin with a little introduction about KB and the art of candle making followed by an itinery of the class.
Scents are then chosen and the fun begins!
You will make a luxury KB candle and a large heart wax melt.
There is also an option to play around with colouring your wax.
There is an interval where your creations have time to cure and your bellies have time to be fed. You will be treated to a delicious Creme Brew Lait afternoon tea, set out and served in vintage china ware. Filled with a selection of home made savory and sweets. Be sure to come hungry. Julia, the owner at Creme Brew Lait loves to feed people - lots!
Once food is finished, we can de-mold your wax melts, snip your wicks and box up your creations. Allergies for food can be listed during your booking.
The workshops duration is 2.5 hours.
Time - 4.30pm - 7.00pm
You will take home all that you have made on the day.
You will also receive 10% off to spend on the day/ evening of your class, on any KB products, that will be on display for you to browse throughout the workshop.
For a special treat, you can book a private 2-person session. Different fee's apply for this service.
