Our candle making classes are the ideal way to light up your day and we are thrilled to be hosting them in the grounds of this exceptional historical landmark, Lamport Hall.
If you love nothing more than the relaxing scent of a clean and non toxic soy candle, why not come and craft your own at this blissful candle making class in Lamport, Northamptonshire?
In this chilled-out workshop, you'll learn how to melt, mix and pour wax to create DIY luxury candles from scratch.
Your friendly teacher Kylie will guide you step-by-step throughout your journey and provide all the equipment and tools, so don't worry if it's your first attempt at candle making. You'll feel all of your worries melt away as you sit back and focus on getting creative with your group.

Workshop venue
This workshop is held at the beautiful historic Lamport Hall in Lamport. Nestled in the idiylic countryside of Northamptonshire and is just off the A14 close to Kettering and Market Harborough.
This venue is set in approximately 10 acres of tranquil gardens, the result of over 450 years of love and dedication. You gain FREE access to the gardens with your workshop booking during the months it is open.
Workshop is available for private hire.
We are currently catering for up to 20 per class however, if you are a larger group i,e a hen party, birthday party or a corporate team. Please email us with your numbers prior to booking and we will do our best to help. If we are unable to secure seats on your particular date or venue, we can talk through other options that are available.
Everything is set up and ready for when you arrive. At this venue we provide unlimited tea and coffee throughout the workshop.
Very scrumptious afternoon tea boxes are provided by Pinkys Pastries and there is a seperate area for us to enjoy them.
Venue is mobility safe and everything is all one level. There are WC's at the side of the building. Feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss anything before your arrival.
There is ample parking at the venue. When you aririve, drive through the second archway and turn right. Follow the road round and you will arrive at the workshop venue.
On the day...
You are welcome to arrive at the venue from 9am when the site opens and make full use of the onsite cafe, browse the gift shop and enjoy your FREE garden entry, you will need to collect your wrist band from the shop. Your name will be on the list.
The gardens are open April-October, 9am-4pm. The cafe is open 9am-4pm April-September and 9am-3pm October-March. The shop is open alongside the gardens (but 10am-3pm) and the Christmas shop is open Wednesday-Sunday throughout December (until the 21st of December).
The workshop will start at 12pm and, once we all get settled with a nice cuppa of course!
Aprons on and we then begin with a little introduction about KB and the art and craftmanship of candle making.
Scents are then chosen and we get fully stuck into the process of candle making.
You will make a luxury KB candle and a large heart wax melt.
There is also an option to play around with colouring your wax if you wish.
There is an interval where your creations have time to cure and your bellies have time to be fed with very delicious treats!
Once lunch is finished, we can de-mold your wax melts, snip your wicks and box up your creations.
The workshops duration is 2.5 hours and will run from 12pm - 2.30pm.
You will take home all that you have made on the day.
As an attendee on the workshop you will also receive 10% off to spend on the day of your class on any KB products. A pop up shop will be on display for you to browse throughout the workshop and at the end.
